I should have known it would be Amsoil hype. This very misleading quote tells it all.
"Amsoil has produced premium, synthetic based API approved diesel engine oils since 1972."
Notice the very carefully worded sentence would mislead the reader into thinking Amsoil is API "certified". It's not. It's approved by Amsoil to be something they want you to believe is API certified. What does API mean to Amsoil? Amsoil Probably Isn't? Amsoil approves it. Not the API.
How about a 525,000 mile oil change interval using Valvoline Premium Blue dino oil. The oil that's contracted and brewed by Valvoline using Cummins recipe and approved by Cummins to be used in Cummins engines.http://www.everytime.cummins.com/eve...aintenance.jsp
