Good Lord, 16 liter/6 cylinder

So, if you need to pull something huge, such as a bulldozer or, say, North America, here’s your ride.

Volvos cant take a beating in the oild patch like a Kenworth or Peterbuilt can, It would be a great hit for the highway haulers.

IIRC the cummins KTA-19 or commonly called the cummins k motor by the old timers is the largest engine ever put into a OTR truck. if you do a search on youtube for them you will see them in action, seem to do pretty well in truck pulls

The KTTA 600(twin turbo) version of the mid to late 1980's is the most desirable of the series. Pittsburgh Power had a couple they built for over the road applications that were in excess of 1000hp. Mark from TST is involved with Pittsburgh Power.

not really that impressive. The C15 is a 15.2L I-6 that you can get 625hp @ 2100 and 2030ftlbs. out of the box. and they've been doing that for years.....this is what you call One-ups-manship.

the 3408 was an 18L beast they put in trucks a long time ago too.

theres an older pete dumptruck that comes around our shop every once in a while. with an older 14.7L Series 60 making over 800hp to the rear wheels, and we have a truck chassis dyno.

Volvos are garbage to work on too. you have to lift the front passenger side of the cab to get the valve cover off a Series 60.

Hmmm....Must be a trick they learned from Ford (oh wait, Ford only owns the Volvo passenger cars).
