7.3 better mileage?

My friend has a 2001 powerstroke automatic 4dr 2wd with 60,000 miles on it. With the price of diesel going up he was thinking about a chip. Since i dont know much about these motors i was hoping yall could help. What is the best chip to get for fuel mileage. Power is not a concern nor is money, only reliability.

thanks

Probably a SCT Livewire - thats actually the best for a 7.3.

I always ran Bullydog, or TS Performance.. There is another place called DP tuner or something... I dont remember the name, but I heard they had great chips for the 7.3's

I thought the Bullydog chips were pretty good. Buddy had a 70 hp chip in his 7.3 and it was a darn good truck, really great mileage actually. Tipped into the 20's easily if you drove it nice.
