Naw, actually I caught the diesel bug. I want to cummins-ize something? I dont really want to buy a Pickup until I can afford to order EXACTLY want I want off the lot. I have a 93 jeep that is worth, in my opinion, 9000 dollars. I talked to my dad about me putting in a Cummins diesel and he's afraid that the it will make the Jeep lose value instead of gain. (Is this true?) So, I was trying to think of a cheap durable vehicle to transplant it in. So, does this help? I was thnking of a old ford bronco or a jeep cherokee/ Grand Cherokee?

1975 AMC Gremlin.

Mount the Gremlin body on a Wrangler frame that has the same width and wheelbase. Use whatever Jeep suspension and driveline pieces are required, keep the Gremlin interior.

MTGunNut,

I think that your bronco or cherokee idea would work. Your probably going to have few things to modify with whatever vehicle you choose.

BTW: My bad on the tread jack

Anything smaller than a 1/2 ton would be too small for a 4bt, IMO. Check this dude out--he's got the idea--and the final product

If you put it in something like an older Dodge pickup it should be as close to a bolt-in swap as possible.

Ive been pondering a 5.9 in an old farm truck. Event a 4bt would be nice. Theres tons of old 40, 50, 60's fram trucks around here and they sure would be nice with a 12 valver in em.

At least thats my thought on the matter.
