I have a 4" straight pipe exhaust from the turbo and I like it but it has a turn down 4" tip which I'm not a fan of. And I just don't like the way chrome tips look, kinda ricey. The previous owner cut the exhaust and welded the tip at a weird angle so I want to replace the tailpipe section of the exhaust. My budget is tight so I called Expandit and they said they have a 5" 2 piece tailpipe. I was thinking about getting a 4" - 5" adapter and making it work.

1. Do you guys think this is a stupid idea?

2. Will this make the exhaust note a little deeper sounding?

2. Probably add a little more rumble for sure.
