2008 Ford F450s?

I just read through an article on the these new fords. They stated "turbochargers" plural and they also mentioned "sequential turbos". I'm interpreting this as two turbos one small one and one larger one to alleviate the "lag time". Again, this is what I interpret but they don't necessarily say that outright.

They also mentioned you can get 20" rims as a option. Pics show a nice truck.

Does anyone know more on this.

The new Powerstroke is a 6.4 liter, has sequential Bord Warner turbos (one is a VGT) and uses HPCR instead of kablHEUI.

Hopefully it'll all actually function.

I don't think they will have trouble with the borg warners like they did with those cheap garrets on the 6 oh's

Turbos are pretty trouble free generally unless there's a lubrication issue. Two means twice as much trouble potential, but 0x2 is still zero.

And supposedly they're dropping the variable vane turbo in exchange for a variable geometry turbo, so that should help matters too as far as complexity.

As will the fuel system; I think that'd solve the largest problems (and probably introduce plenty more)...

common rail fuel system with piezo injectors. It's been used in europe for quite awhile now. Don't think we will see any major problems. The compound turbo setup has been used in the navistar 4.5 litre v6 for awhile now to.

Of course there will be some issues but I don't think anywhere close to what the 6.0 had. I hope they get them right. all the ambulances around here are psd's haha. I don't wanna be in an emergency and have one of the break down and I end up dying.
