10K miles on her and hand calc is 22mpg highway/18mpg towing 30' toy hauler.
Break-in is 70-80K, so mileage will get better.
Let's all go trade our Cummins in...Right now!

That's better than any I've heard of even. Maybe he drives real nice but from what I've found they average more like 14. A buddy of mine with an 08 dually powerjoke gets 11.? All the new 08 emissions trucks are terrible. It sort of defeats the purpose of a diesel.

Now I am NOT one to participate in any "Slam the other brand threads" as a rule, simply because I happen to believe there are good points to all of them.
BUT I wanted to pass along what happened to a friend this week. He purchased a new Duramax and with less than 1,000 miles on it, the tranny burned up on it.
I don't care what emblem is on the hood, that has to really hurt It can happen to any brand so please don't take this as a slam against the Chevy's, I just know how sick I would be if that happened to me.
Poor guy purchased it for his business and now it is in the shop and he is losing money daily because of it. I know lots of guys very happy with their Chevy trucks, I hope he can be as well one day.

I think I can... I think...
It can run perfect from here on out but that'll still be in the back of his head.
That's how I'd feel anyway.

Well, we go for a drive, they set the overhead to read instantaeous mpg.
Then slightly lift thee throttle . There it is a high number! Now this is not an average mpg.
I tell then to enjoy thier truck. If they like it, that is all that matters.

I would have to see it with my own 2 eyes to believe that it can get 18 mpg hauling a 30 foot toy hauler. OK maybe it can going down a 10 mile long 7% grade with 75 mph tail wind
