Didn't they just do this in '06? Where sales so bad they had to reface it inside of two years?

 

IMO the new Dakota looks pretty bad. I liked the front ends on the 90s models.

 

I am partial to the late 90's Model Dakota's with the 5.2 V-8 - probably cause I own one....

 

Yea Im the same on the dakota styling but I'll take a 5.9l like I have in the Durango.

 

I like it if they drop all the gray trim.

The current Durango/Dakota is hideous.

 

The new grille looks horrible needs to be color matched at least.

 

The little sports car could be neat... would sure be change for Dodge.

But, WHAT WHERE THEY THINKING with the Dakota!?!?!? It looks like they spent too much time reading truck trend and have the idea that the Honda Ridgeline is a real truck and made the front look like one!

I sure hope they don't have the full sise trucks follow suit.

Although that does look better than the current 'kotas, I still like the old ones a whole lot better.

And if that's the new direction for fullsizes, I reckon I'll start stocking up on 2nd gen parts trucks....

we had a 95 V8 'kota. thing took a beating. pulled a 4 horse bumper pull with two drafts and two mules. and we put 3 ton of stone in the bed....

I think they look pretty good. but then agian i liked the 06's

 

I think the new Dakota is leaps and bounds ahead of the feminine 06's... and that roadster would be awesome for a summer car, but from the looks of it the trunk is non-existent.

 

somewhat has that same look of the new GMC HD's. hope this isnt the new look for trucks because I dont like it

 

Sports Car is awesome!!! Put the SRT4 Motor in it and that thing will fly. RWD and 300 HP!! The Dakota is allot better than what they have going right now. Looks allot like the new GMC's!

 

I think the 05-06 Dakotas are ugly ( I have owned a 2000 & 2002 Dakota) and I hope they don't make the new one look like a the boxy Honda Element or what every they call that cardboard box looking thing. I've talked to several people who also hate the square boxy looking cars and trucks they are making now days. My wife said to me that they look more like a kids toy fromTonka Toy not some thing from an auto manfacture.
