2007 Duramax Price...

Went to the fair today, Chevy dealer had a 2007 2500 D/A on display. 4X4, quadcab with leather and many options, no sunroof.

Fair price was $49,884 AFTER rebates. WOW!! What rebates are they talking about. Are the 2007s really going to go for $55-60K???

Well by the fact that you saw the price tag I would say so. I called the Chevy Dealer close to my house when I was trading the auto in for the 6spd and they quoted me $45,000 on a equally equipped Dmax that was opitioned out like my 06 Ram. So I could see where a fully loaded truck would be in the 50K Range!!

The price of the Duramax option is supposed to increase $3k when they start bolting on all of the new emissions goodies. However, now that you can only get the Allison transmission ($2k option in 06) with it the total package price goes up $5k.

A buddy of mine just bought an '07 loaded with all the options for around $41K. Yesterday (3 weeks after he bought it) he told me he really didn't like the looks of the Chevy. It must be hell to spend that much on a truck that he doesn't even like.

Well think of it like this, GM is swirling around the toilet bowl, their trucks are selling like hot cakes cause they actually have a good diesel engine and transmission for the first time in what......forever? Sooooo, why not make more money off the cash cow while you can! So this is their life jacket!! Ford and GM were selling SUV's like mad before gas went up, another cash cow, now that the market has dipped they have been going........uhhh, what do we do now George??
