2007 5.9 vs 6.7 ???
I curently have a 5.9 with 55k miles... I saw a really nice truck at the lot today 07 6.7 with 17k miles. Do you think it would be worth trading mine in for?? Any opinions on this?

I wouldn't but that's just me. The 6.7have emissions control devices, such as egr, O2 sensors, temp sensors, DPF, crankcase filter, exhaust temp sensors, exhaust pressure sensors, EGR air flow control valve, EGR cooler, EGR cooler flow control valve. The injectors run $1600 each also. 5.9 have none of that stuff and injectors run $600 depending on where you buy them. Turbo run $3000 and they do have some problems with nozzle sticking from soot issues but I won't get into that. While in warranty they are great trucks but once out of warranty those parts our on your dime. DPF $2500, EGR $500 get my point here. Unless you buy service contract that will pay for those parts it can get to be expensive truck to own. Don't get me wrong I do love these trucks but they are for towing and not for short hops to the grocery store. If you don't work them hard they will give you some problems mostly from soot buildup. You do need to keep up on the maintenace also, fuel filter, air filter, crankcase filter, egr cleaning. Keep the PCM up to date on all flashes. Do not idle these trucks for extended periods while on job site unless you have the updated flash that will reduce soot buildup by raising the idle up to 900RPM. Good Luck with your decision. If you do buy this truck check the history first, make sure all the updates have been done and Recalls also.

I went through the same thought process when replacing my old truck. I chose the 07.5 for the 6 speed auto and factory E-brake. I felt both of those improvements were worth dealing with the new emmissions. Having to do it over I would make the same decision. Been very happy with the truck. Currently 57K on the clock and bought new.
If you are not towing reguarly or heavy the 5.9 may be the better truck.

I went thru the same thought process a few months ago when I decided to trade up and have no regrets getting the 6.7 at all. The only thing I don't like with it is the fuel mileage, but that will fix itself when I get the delete's done.

The 5.9 is a much less troublesome engine. The 6.7 had many problems early on. With all the flash updates, these are fixed, mostly, as I understnd it.
Mileage is much better on the 5.9.

Went and test drove it the other day.... Nice ride and power for having 37" tires on there, however, I also found out that they will not lower the high price of $37900!!! For an 07 that is just crazy. My 07 5.9 is almost paid off and I don't want to start over again...
