2, 3, or 4 cylinder SMALL!! in line diesel engine??

anyone make a small one, like one that will fit on a medium lawn tractor, i got a mid 60's? pennsylvania panzer and would like to build a small super stock smoker replica, they pull them over in sweden and places like that but nothing i could find here, this thing is a hoss, its got a factory narrowed chrysler car rearend, this thing is stout and would like to build something really nasty. my buddies used to pull garden tractors so i got tires and other stuff for it, just need a nasty little coal burner for it. if not ill build a alcohol drinking Kohler motor. http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/...53722986vArhjv you cant tell me that aint just bad, already set up perfect to pull from the factory.

i would have to endorse the kubota idea, ive got a 1975 kubota 3cylinder with like 1800 hours on it, and it still runs no problem. most reliable thing in the house, and it has enought power to pull a honda accord on top of a 1 ton trailer up a good graded hill, something my brothers toyo tacoma cant do

Cat has some small 3 cylinder engines... Cat3003, 3004 is a 4 cylinder, 3014, 3024, 3054..etc... Cat bought the Perkins engine company so in yellow paint its a Cat, the engines are still called Perkins in Europe.
I believe the 3014 n.a. is about 45-50 hp. They DO make turbocharged models also.

Briggs/Diahatsu has a few to choose from:

As for motorbikes, that's a tough one. As you know, diesels are heavy for the power they produce. Not exactly a good solution for a motorbike. Try Hatz: http://www.hatzusa.com/home.php

Kawasaki makes one, no? I think they came in John Deere garden tractors.

And Cub Cadets came with Kubota's. Look for the 982D Cub Cadet. It will have a LARGE chrome pipe coming out of the tractors right side.

HTH,

Jon

My mistake. I thought it had something to do with bikes.

i want to paint it red and white with 1466 IH badges (i know it really should be a cub but they dont have big rearends like this), i might use cub sheetmetal though, i need a good name for it though. any suggestions???? ive thought about "deere harvester" "buck hunter" "iron eagle" "road farmer" or "final effort" i wont be using a deere motor or anything that came in a deere, period. i do like the idea of cat powered tractor though, possibly paint it like a oliver or a white and put 3208 cat diesel badges on it.

check out www.surpluscenter.com. They have several diesels in the size you're after for what seem to be decent prices.
