12v vs 24v vs CR

How does the turbo spool vary between the generations? How much boost does each truck run stock? Lets say we took a good sized turbo like a sps66 and put it on a 450 hp 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen how would the trucks respond?

Just curious.

I've been told that the 3rd gen and 24 valves will spool a 66 better than a 12 for towing and daily use. I know my 66 spools fine for towing with my current set-up. And it doesn't surge which I guess is pretty common with a 12 valve and a large single.

and to expand on what mcoleman said, I've heard that the CR will spool quicker than the 24 Valve... that may have changed with the introduction of the Smarty though.
