Mine = 5,000 miles a year (Tow vehicle). I'd better put it in the will.

I'm doing better than that...

20K to 25K a year... I'm up to 61K and still rolling... Yeah small change numbers...

This is a tough one to swallow. They would have to drive 6.3 hours per day at 60 mph everyday of the year for 10 years. Or they would have to drive 8.8 hours per day, 5 days a week for 10 years. I don't know about this, but maybe.

well if they did do this, and worked an 8 hr day only its only 71 mph, very easy

Now, Im sure its not like it pry parks when its not towing. If they stop for the night. Maybe they take her to the resturant? Or weekends? Family trips? Camping? all would add up quick.

why is it so hard to swallow. we all know that this has been proven multiple times with many trucks turning over 1 million miles, its even been on cummins website with stories, pictures and everything. everyone knows the longevity of these engines so i believe it 100%...

Now what about this. What if the truck was bought in 94, one of the 1st 95? That adds 1 more year to the equation. Does that make it more believable?

1,375,000=11 year old truck
125,000=per year
10,417=per month
2,404=per week
481=per day based on a 5 day work week.

The guy owns a ranch and he's always moving horses to shows/competition/rodeo/round-ups.
I believe it!

well go look in the for sale postings, there is a 2001, for sale with 435 on the clock.
https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...&cat=19&page=1

thats almost 450,000 in 4 years, double that and your get 900,000 in 8 years, and another 200,000 for 2 more years, that around 1.1 mill. so it can be done, it just depends on what your doing. im at 260,000 and counting.

LOL you guys all WANT to believe it because it's a great story and everyone loves a Cummins with high mileage. I think she was bs'ing and the truck has 375k on it. A 1.3million mile truck is likely not a daily driver anymore as we've seen in TDR many times. We also likely would have heard about this truck, and we know women like to exaggerate to have a better story to tell. I don't believe it for a second that they drove that many miles per day. Sure it's possible, but the likelihood of this woman making up a great story is a LOT higher IMO.

I have been getting TDR Magazine for 6 years and there's been at least 4 trucks featured with right at or over 1,000,000 miles.

I personally talked with a guy a few times who had a '91 with 1,240,000 without engine work. He ended up selling it for over $4000!

My '96 also has 375,000 miles BuckshotMcKee, but it's on its first trip around!

my neighbor does boat deliveries, his 01 dodge had 301k on it in 04 when he got a new truck, the 04 has 190k on it. all his trucks are auto 4x4 and he hasn't had a tranny problem with either of them. the miles can be run easy enough, real easy if you don't use a log book.

trucks like these are driven on the highway, as that's the only way they can make that many miles. So

573 miles = per day
70 mph = 8.185 hours of driving per day.
80 mph = 7.16 mpd

Also, guys who run hotshot often work 6-7 days a week. So if you factor that in

2865 = per week
477.5 miles per day (assuming 6 day work week)
70 mph = 6.82 hours of driving per day
80 mph = 5.96 hours of driving per day

If you assume 7 day work weeks, then the hours per day come down even more. It is possible, although that is not a life that I would want to live.
