what are the ratios your using of wmo to a gallon of fuel, figure it's a good way to lube my pump and get rid of old oil at the same time

 

according to cummins u shouldn't add more then 5% , the most ive added was 2 gallons to 33 gallons fuel and had no problems.

 

Might sound like a dumby, but what does wmo stand for? If its waste motor oil, has anyone heard anything about running straight motor oil and mineral spirits? Was down in Georga this last weekend with a couple of busted studs on the driver left rear tire so took it in to replace them. Started talking to one of the Dodge mechanics and he told me about running 10 gallons oil to 1 gallon mineral spirits.

 

Bubba I have used the mineral spirits and wmo. I usually put about 10 gallons of wmo into my 32 gallon tank, then top it off with diesel. Never had a problem. I got access to a lot of oil too. I will pour about 40 gallons of WM into our big truck, Detroit 60 series. No probs there either.

 

In our equipment with the 5.9 cummins we ran a 50/50 blended mixture.
