What is going on with Diesel Prices's???

Its been a while since i fueled up, since i ride my bike to work. Last time i filled up i paid 2.69/gal i filled up just the other day and it was 3.49/gal. How does fuel go up that much??? I asked if they switched to diesel winter blend yet, and the answer was no? Did something happen that i just completely missed in the past month? I hate having this $75 cap on debit card purchase, i have to swipe my card twice.

On another note, i miss the days (when i first bought my truck) that diesel was 1.89/gal

I think the demand for home heating fuel (diesel/kerosene variant) has increased (fall-getting ready for winter) and crude oil prices have spiked again!

it is just maddening to look at the prices anymore, at least we get better mpg out of these things than a comparable gasser. still gettin more miles per dollar for now, but mna it is getting more and more tempting to get into makin bio.

last gas station i checked last night was $3.68 for diesel. It's one thing if the price of a barrel goes up, but when the companies are still making record profits personally, it makes u think there gouging like no other, but what can we do except pay up....they got us hooked.

Have any researches found out when were gonna run out of oil? I mean we gotta be getting close.

I remember rotary dial phones, too--- and, like cheap diesel, those things are now part of the distant past...

Remember, there's a lot of emotion in fuel pricing. With Turkey sending troops in against the Kurds, it's increased the fear (emotion) on the world oil market, and hence the price goes up.

Sad to say, there's simply no goood reason for it. Trying to explain why diesel is so expensive is like trying to explain why women cry at so many of those dumb chick flick movies: it's completely nonsensical, and rooted in irrational emotion. Whoever said people were rational, though?

Our diesel is now £1.03 litre here in UK.
That's £5.15 a gallon or about $10.30 a gallon - incredible It's not the price of oil here though, it's just our Government being greedy. Off topic but same with cigarettes now there about $11.00 for 20.

wow, that would be insane to fill up for $10 a gallon every couple days. I sure couldn't tow my excavator for work and make a profit. But it's cool they can retire and get there 450 million dollar sign off bonus for the CEO's...

The oil company just announced that 2 oil workers got into a fight at a bar so they have to raise prices again.

That's about how silly all this has gotten.....
$3.19 here in Maricopa. 2.84 just 3 weeks ago!!!

I was at a friends house a couple of hours ago. They picked up oil off his lease. The operator said oil was $98 a barrel and going to $100 with the storm in Mexico. Prices going nowhere but up! $3.36 when I came thru town.

I just topped off this morning at a low low price of 3.15.

Was at a friends house last night, and his father made a comment. He was surprised that the trucking industry has not done anything about fuel prices. With prices skyrocketing, seems like it should be putting a pinch on their incomes. He figured they would put on a huge strike eventually(as they did in the past), which may be of some help in the matter. Otherwise, I guess they are just tacking fuel surcharges on everything? IDK

All I know is that fuel prices flat out **** ***.
