Suspend Fuel Tax in OK?
"With gas prices climbing to record highs, State Rep. Richard Morrissette has filed an amendment to place a moratorium on motor fuel taxes throughout the state. Morrissette filed his amendment to Senate Bill 334 today and expects it to be heard sometime next week. The amendment would suspend taxes on gasoline and diesel fuel for six months beginning July 1 and ending Dec. 31."
"Currently, the state collects 16 cents per gallon of gasoline and 13 cents per gallon of diesel fuel. Morrissette said state revenues are expected to far surpass earlier projections, easily making up the difference."
If OK is anything like far left MA (hope to God they're not) this bill won't see the light of day.

Actually, they suspended it last fall for three month until just before the end of the year.
dropped prices about a quarter or so after the stations jumped prices to make more money.
