so I'm almost through my first tank of used motor oil, I got it out of my truck, and strained it through a few paint strainers. I only put a gallon in to 3/4 of a tank. what I did was strained it, then mixed it with 2 gallons of reg. diesel, and poured it in. No extra smoke, and no extra smell. but I dunno, I used Rotella T in the oil change, and that's all I smelled all weekend while drivin the truck, but the smell is dyin down now. well I think next fillup I might try 2 gallons to a full tank and see how that works.

and also I have a stockpile of new veg. oil that I got for free. can i just pour that in or do I have to titrate the new oil to get it neutral??

 

I would use the SVO in small amounts (no more then 20%) if you're not going to heat it. I can't say for sure but I would want to at least dewater it....But maybe it's okay if it's never been used?

 

in my 90 ford i use 70% in warm weather 50% in the winter filtered at 2 microns.
