post your gas mileage
I don't use gas in my truck... it's a Cummins.
Fuel mileage for my truck right now is averaging 15-16 mpg. Last summer it was up to around 18. Thats hand calculated, and also combination of in town, highway, and towing. Most of my highway mileage is with the 5500# trailer.

Running empty I get 18-24mpg. This winter I got 22 on one trip with a lot of 77-80mph driving. Before anyone rips me I have a 47rh with 3.07 rear gears. I think I could get 25mpg if I were to keep it at 70, but the sweet spot is about 75.

quick update here on the highway miles. I just made a trip this weekend from Anchorage to Fairbanks back to Anchorage. I avereraged 56mph on the way there and 68 on the return trip(no load). My mpg was 19.43 as calculated with my fleet software. The overhead console said 17.2. Its usually off about 1 mpg for city driving and 2 mpg off with highway driving.
Below is a my mileage from Calgary,AB to Chandler,AZ and back. I trip is hand calculated and in Can Gallons at first then I change over US gallons.
Truck was empty except for my wife and 5 month old with luggage and toys approx 500lbs.
I had to go get drywall, mud, framing and scaffold with b-inlaw when I got there approx 600lbs over my 500lb weight. (probably a 1000lbs)
Truck has AFE stage 2,Aeroturbine 4040xl,full syn 5W40 with bypass otherwise truck is stock.

My '05 with Banks 6-gun and built trany gets right at 16.9 on the overhead. That's keeping my foot out of it on the highway and driving the speed limit. efore the tranny upgrades, 13.7 was the best I could get.
I'd like to hear more about mileage with propane????

@ 60 MPH unloaded 22-26 MPG @ 1300-1450 RPM
all I can say is thats its bad *** mileage time when you get one properly tuned.
Here Is The Other part
You are saying impossible in a 7500 LB truck, well mine with my big butt in it crossed the scales 2 weeks ago with an empty bed and 1/4 tank of fuel and it weighed in at a wopping 9873.27 LBS. Yeah ist a pretty big dually
Somebody revived this one...
It's funny about the timing though, I've been watching my overhead since I've been out of service last week and this. I haven't towed the trailer anywhere (and probably won't this week either) and the overhead is saying 22.5 avg. I've driven over 200 miles, and it's still above 3/4, so I don't know what I'll get yet. Usually, with the trailer, I'm just over 1/2 at 200, and I've been averaging about 14 mpg over the winter.
I'd love for the overhead to be right, but I'll just have to wait and see. I'm going on at least a 1900 mile round trip to Kentucky next week. If I have go to Toronto for Friday and Saturday, I'll have the dyno with me. That'll be about 2100 miles of towing, so I'm kind of hoping I don't have too, because I'd like to see what I can get without 5500# draging behind me.
