[QUOTE=dodgeguy71;3084692]Filled up to the tune of $3.99/gallon near Nashville today.
Iran..yes, we've heard it all before, wwwwaaaaayyyyyyyy before! "Unstable conditions in the middle east" are to blame for higher fuel costs. Because the middle east has never been unstable before.(extremely severe sarcasm intended)

Hey dodgeguy,....I don't appreciate your sarcastic remark!!
Too bad you don't like hearing about the Middle East situation Sir,.....but the fact is it is STILL an issue and will continue to be as long as Iran continues it's anti-American policies and threatens to block or close the Strait of Hormuz!

Quickest way to solve this issue is require the speculators to take delivery of their crude/processed fuels. That would weed out the 'players' real quickly.

$3.99 Current White House energy secretary would be happy to see our fuel price to be as high as it is in the EU, I guess that way more people would be willing to buy a Chevy Volt and with the increase in sales it would help out government motors and the UAW all the while us taxpayers foot the bill for the $7500 rebate (soon to be $10K rebate if O has his way) for every Volt sale.

When I was taking my boy scouts out to Camp Constantin in Graford, Texas this Friday night I saw prices as high as $4.15 a gal.! Good thing the bus 64gal tank was topped-off before I left to drop them off.

I'm a free market guy, until we deal with energy and healthcare. The oil extracted from sovereign soil needs to be sold to us first and the excess can go to the highest bidder. Profits will still be adequate and the stockholders rewarded on their investments.
John Stossel,a Libertarian had a report on healthcare in Switzerland. The private insurance companies run the show there, but the Swiss limit their profits to 4-8% I believe he said. Their books are open. If they need an increase, prove it. Once again, modest profits when it comes to oil and healthcare.
All the Green products need to survive on their own without the government(us) being venture capitalists.
