I have noticed that the oil speculators are using any ( I mean any excuse like they did to get record high prices last year) they can to get the price of oil up. Like before they don't care who they hurt by getting the price up so long as they make big $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

I think we reached the bottom last week and oil, diesel & gas are all starting back up. Our local prices went up a dime to .15. Unleaded had sold for 1.17 until yesterday in some parts of town. 1.40 to 1.50 was more common.

The Shell station near my office was 2.19 for diesel on Monday. Today, it is 2.49. Looks like the OPEC cuts and conflict in Gaza are taking their tolls.

Keep in mind, that for Us on the West Coast....

2 of the refineries in California, one in Socal and one in Norcal..are OFF LINE and NOT PRODUCING ANY Petrol products...and a Third smaller one went belly up...This will hurt the West Coast and not really have any effect on the midwest or east coast.

The unstable situation in the Gaza really wont have too much effect on the "World Oil" situation as Isreal, and the Gaza are not "heavy" in the Oil exporting indurstry. You would need that "unstable situation" to extend north to Iran and west to Jordan/Suadi Arabia for it to really have a major "World" impact. OPEC can try to do what they want...but right now with the "DEMAND" extreamly low...their threats wont hold water, say what you want but OIL IS STILL DEMAND DRIVEN!
