I like Lucas for how well it cleans up the fuel system (not for lubing to the fuel system) and the small amount of fuel mileage increase I see when I do use it.

My truck really liked The Opti Lube XPD , saw excelent mileage gains, then she started to hate it. Rough Idle after towing etc... So far my truck kind of hates all additives. I have had the Best luck with Howes and Lucas. Less solvents I think. For the most part, I just run good ol #2

i too have ran the opti-lube xpd. i didnt see any mileage gain, but my truck seemed to run better in the winter with it. once it got warm i switched to 2-stroke oil. seem to have gotten a small mpg gain from that (little under 1 mpg)

Just started using Opti-Lube Summer Blend with this tank of fuel. I have over 400 miles on this tank and the overhead seems to be indicating about .5-1 mpg gain even with some idling and a 2 short tows (20 miles) with 3000 lbs
I have been obtaining 21.1 to 21.2 hand calculated for the last couple 400-500 mile tanks. Will fill up in a few days and advise if the Opti-Lube is all it is cracked up to be. It does seem a bit quieter...

I have to say one thing for Howes. Twice on my red top cummins I have had an injector start hammering, just like a ball peen hammer, stopped at the thruck stop, dumped a bottle of Howes in it, a few minutes later, quite and running smoothe.

I tried the acetone in my daily driver civic; mpg's are up 7% and the check engine light went off after about 3/4 of the tank. I may have been a little heavy on the acetone for this tank but ill try a weaker ratio for the next one and get the expected 10-12%, we will see.

Mikey,
I am still getting the same mpg as I have been. I buy diesel all over the place. I have been consistently getting 19.2-19.8(hand calculated) empty in my truck. Towing I get 9 to 11 mpg.
I don't drive 75mph down the highway either and take off easy at stops in town. I don't really think it's the fuel causing your drops. Maybe your heavy foot?

Well I have to admit I run WVO most of the time and could care less what fuel economy I get with ULSD or the other but I haven't noticed any difference in performance or fuel economy on the rare occasion I do run diesel but then again I'm a firm believer in adding a quart of used motor oil to each fillup and Power Service (summer blend).

So, you believe only those who have money should be allowed health care needed in an emergency?? The rest should just go die??
