I have been getting around 15mpg buy my console. this tank i changed my fuel filter, added powerservice in silver can. and added about 4 to 6 ounces of marvel mystery oil. I am up 2 mpg on this tank, i am sitting at half a tank by the fuelguage, and had gone 312 miles , Now I admit that i have not been in as much traffic and that has some to do with it, but i will be prone to run these additives in it. I am going to order some howes meaner cleaner, but have not tried it yet. by they way. On the tank where the console said i got 15 i calculated and only got 13.8.

 

Some people say not to believe the overhead to do the math by hand. Half a tank in my opinion is not enough to say that you are getting better fuel mileage. Changing your fuel filter will help if it was really dirty. And the powerservice will help too. Also it depends on your driving habits.

 

I agree with volly818 on the driving habits. If I stay off the loud petal on the way to work one way, I can get 1-2 mpg better. Tape a couple of tacks to your go petal and drive with your right shoe off for a few days... see what that does.
