European Union Diesel Fuel

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...vers-risk.html

An investigation has been launched into whether moves to make diesel cleaner could be putting millions of drivers at risk of breakdowns in potentially dangerous situations.

Fuel suppliers have been implementing European Union regulations to mix conventional diesel with environmentally-friendly biofuels, made from crops including corn, sugarcane and rapeseed.

But there has been a surge in sudden breakdowns of diesel cars in cold weather since the greener fuel was introduced, and the concentration of biofuel in the mixture increased.

Pay no attention to those mechanical engineers.
Luckily our administration killed the 15% ethanol scheme for gassers here.

Uhh... yeah great idea! Biodiesel in winter!! YAY!!!!
We run soy diesel in the summer here. But the co-op quits putting it in their pumps or delivering it around the first of October so that doesn't happen.
Investigation launched by the same people who shut down all their coal, gas, and oil-fired power plants in favor of wind energy. Next time they have a days-long cold snap with no wind there won't be any gas-fired plants that can be fired up in a hurry because they are being dismantled.
There's a link in that story to one about household spending down and higher energy prices.

Guess they have never heard of Power Service or 911 over there.

I know the first year they ran biodiesel around here we had a mess, but since then it has been pretty good, I still dose her pretty good with white bottle!

I think our pumps say up to 20 percent Bio.
