i actually looked into this and ordered the chemicals. It was a year or two ago but if i recall correctly, you add regular unleaded gas to so many gallons of veggie oil to thin the veggie. I ended up not making any due to being skeerd.

Gasoline in a Diesel engine is NOT a good thing, that should pretty well sum up the product for you

What that means is they paid to advertise the product, that doesn't mean it is something you should run in your truck

Do a search here on the product, you will learn all you need to know about it.

And to answer your question, NO I have not used it, nor will I ever.

Want to know a secret?

The stuff is junk. If you want to drop 5k in your fuel system to be the guinea pig and save a few bucks, go ahead. The FFA's need to be removed from WVO in our common rail engines. Even then you take a gamble with true bio on its quality. If you want to run gas through your Dodge, buy a hemi.

It's funny how everyone has an option even though they never tried it or have no experience with it. Like any home made fuel you're experiementing. If you feel that you can take the risk & willing to pay the piper. Then go for it. That is how this country thrives.

I've read about alot of SVO conversion to the Gen 3s. Diesel Secret is nothing special. It's recept has been put on this website and on the web. I don't think that you need to buy the stuff. It's just WVO filtered with diesel and little gasoline & PS. I've seen a guy on the web actually take different concentrations of WVO & Diesel & put it in a oven at 350* to see if the WVO would char. He showed that with diesel added to WVO it didnt' bake onto a bolt. If people are running WVO, then thinned out WVO with diesel isn't going to be much different. It's just are you willing to take a $5,000 chance?

I believe it's the mixing of gas into our fuel that turns most of us off.

Agreed...since we know this is not a good thing, that pretty much settles the debate in my mind.

I sure wish Lary could make up his mind about things once in a while!

Good point about running diluted gasoline. It's not for me. The first gens thrive on oil, but gas just seems wrong. It's a good solvent, it's a poor lubricant, it burns different, it has additives that diesels don't need. All bad properties for the diesel. Gimme some oil. Yumm.

I remember reading on here, a person who is mixing wvo with 10% diesel and 10% gas and running it in a p-pump truck. I remember him saying it ran really well also. Can't remember who that was but maybe they will chime in shortly.

I have had to flush many diesel fuel tanks and fuel systems after someone usually their wife put gasoline in. Most of the time no damage is done if they clean out all the fuel. Different story if they drive with white smoke pouring out tail pipe.

Yea back in the early 80s a coworker bought a diesel chevy (Malibu I believe)
The first time his wife filled it up she put gas in it!!!
He spent a day pulling and draining the tank, blowing out the fuel lines, replacing the fuel filter etc...
He said that it never seemed to run right since.
He traded it off within a yr.
