Diesel prices, i'm getting scared! LOL
For some odd reason gas keeps going up around here in so cal. Diesel is plumeting. Regular gas is nearing $2.30 a gallon, Diesel dropped to $1.89. Not that I am complaining, but am I missing something here?????

I wish I was as fine, as those who work the pipeline!
Probably the result of $4.00+ per gallon. I would speculate that a lot of folks got rid of their diesels for gassers and so the demand is way down. In addition, Cali is not very, shall we say, friendly to our OTR brothers so I think they may be fueling out of state or just not going to Cali at all. There are also pretty restrictive emission which may have severely limited the diesel market as a whole, reducing demand. Or there could just be a short term oversupply in storage. But I would enjoy it while it lasts, I'm sure once the governator sees that it is that low he will impose some sort of tax to make up the difference.

I would imagine as the construction boom and the demand for consumer products declines with the economy the demand for diesel has decreased. May not last long, but when I get back stateside I plan on enjoying the low prices.. if only for a short while.
