My pleasure RC, still think that is a great handle. Glad to help.
I must admit though, this is not all me, I had the pleasure of sitting down with a guy who has been in the oil and gas business since they used mules down in west texas!!!!! Started working with his daddy when he was 12. Back in his day the rig floor was two saw horses and a couple of planks of wood!! This guy was nearly seventy years old, and still throwing tongs on the rig floor!!!!! I am only 39, and in pretty good shape, I do pretty good with a 48" in one hand and a ratchet strap in the other, and he wiped the floor with me (literally). He could hold his hand on the drill string and tell you how long the sleeves in the pumps had before they would wear out. I learned more from that guy in five seconds than my entire 7 years in high school!!!! Let me tell you that was a round of beers that I was honored to buy!!!! And it is truly an honor to pass his wisdom on. Kinda like sitting down with a veteran, just a different type of war.
Just wish that it could be explained in a sound bite. It is way easier to demonize the oil companies than to explain the truth. "A lie travels around the world before the truth gets it's shoes on" lots of smart people back then. Wish some of them could be brought back to beat some sense back into washington!!!!!

A carbon tax would simply make goods that much more difficult to afford and contribute to the death of the economy
Dont forget that the only one that profits from this is the government. The government that will be getting filthy rich off of your tax dollars.
Sure we need biofuels, but placing artificial controls on the market just makes a mess.
and just what will the govt DO with all this windfall tax revenue? Probably spend it on more government bureaucracy.
We are all enslaved and we dont even know it.
