Now the tree huggers are complaining that biodiesel is hurting the rainforest! Ironic

 

Irony is right.......sheesh! No matter what, there always seem to be somebody that will be adversely affected.

Ah, they won't be happy till we're all walking everywhere, and barefoot at that. Can't be having rubber refineries or killing cows for shoe leather ya know.

 

Not bare foot. They want HEMP sandles. The other by products will make them not care about the rest until Dominos won't deliver anymore.

Those people are the result of natural selection being bypassed due to modern technology.

 

The only real danger to the rain forrest is the fools down there burning it. Until that is stopped, there is no reason to worry about air polution because by the time it really effects the forest it won't be there, oxygen levels will be to low to support life on this planet and the acid run off has killed the fish. All this in the next century, if you believe that stuff. If you don't want air polution, don't buy anything, don't grow anything, and don't do anything. And for heaven's sake don't die, your rotting flesh will polute the world. . How was that for a whole lot of nothing?

 

Did any of you guys even read the article?
I didn't get the treehugger impression, the guy was just pointing out the demand for biofuel was causing more rainforest clearing.
Seems logical to me and it probably would have happened even without biofuel due to an expanding population.
How can any American tell another nation that clearing it's forests is wrong when we cleared most of the eastern US a couple of centuries ago?
