Had an 'animal Physiology' college professor
that had a poster in the lab (where we did 'horrible things to animals' in the name of science) and it had a bunch of protesters on it and read;
Thanks to animal research these protesters can now protest 26.5 years longer.

I didn't get the treehugger impression, the guy was just pointing out the demand for biofuel was causing more rainforest clearing.
Seems logical to me and it probably would have happened even without biofuel due to an expanding population.
How can any American tell another nation that clearing it's forests is wrong when we cleared most of the eastern US a couple of centuries ago?
