This particular mix would be termed B95.

B5 is 5% Bio and 95% Petrol Diesel #2.

Thanks for all of the responses to my questions. I can always rely on you guys for answers to my questions and good information to support my Cummins RAM.

I also agree that FUEL should be a section of it's own as described by Lightman as it is an ongoing topic of discussion. Mybe we should suggest this to the boss.

I read with much interest the ACETONE in fuel said to increase milage article from a link posted in another thread and I wonder if it will assist in vaporization and promote its combustion as well as described in this article. I'm posting the link

Acetone In Fuel Said to Increase Mileage

Readily-available chemical added to gas tank in small proportion improves the fuel's ability to vaporize completely by reducing the surface tension that inhibits vaporization of some fuel droplets.

This mainly talked about gas engines. I saw one comment that it should work in diesel, but not about experiments in a diesel engine, figure 1 note mentioned the acetone could lower diesel mileage by rasing octane, which is the same as lowering cetane.
I would very cautious, and find out what the effects on lubricity and cetane are before trying it in a diesel.

Thanks Lightman, it was and still is a good idea as many are interested in fuel topics it seems.

I also am curious as to why I had no reponse to the $1.00 per gallon tax credit from the IRS I mentioned. If Bio is .30 or .40 cents cheaper per gallon and you receive a 1.00 credit for every gallon I'm definately interested in running Bio-Diesel.

I also would like more information on mixing ACETONE into the bio-diesel to promote combustion, anyone have more information or a link on the combination of the two?
