i do 1-2qts per fill up, sometimes more, sometimes less. i use TC-w3 from walmart, the supertech brand $8.84 a gal. and yes our fuel system are constantly circulating diesel, so it mixes.

a dumb question. I know, there are no dumb questions just dumb people that ask questions. Why are you pouring 2 stroke oil in your fuel tank? Lubrication of the fuel pump or lubrication of the cylinder walls?

Lubrication. Even DC tech center gave me that suggestion years ago for those towing in the summer heat out here.

lubrication of injector pump and it makes it run smoother and a little quieter.

I dumped a quart in on my last fill-up and was surprised by how much it quieted noise from the engine compartment.

2-stroke oil lubricates the plungers and barrels in your P7100 Inj Pump, where ULSD does not - the lower end is lubricated by crankcase oil at engine pressure.

The VP44 IP utilizes Diesel fuel as the sole rotor, head and plunger lubricant - as ULSD lubricity is reduced and viscosity is reduced, 2-stroke oil is a good defense for any resultant scoring and galling in either pump..

I know! I recently was driving past a 3rd gen and though it was a gasser until I saw a C on the front fender! A PoorStroke made more rattle (well.. maybe it was falling apart...)

I just filled up yesterday, and have driven about 33 miles on this tank. Would it mix into the rest of my fuel if I went and mixed a quart of 2 stroke oil right now?

Just curious, do you see a bluish tint in your exhaust ever?

Yes it would mix in with the rest, the overflow fuel circulates continually to the engine and back into the tank. I don't see any visible smoke from the tailpipe except on very cold mornings - incomplete fuel burn does give it a blue color. I have not noticed any difference in exhaust color after adding 2-cycle oil to mine. Concentration must be way too low for that.
