Starting the research ?'s

I have begun researching a Cummins conversion for my 2000 F 350 PSD. I currently have a BTS built auto. I am thinking I want a manual trans. I may put a ZF 6 speed in prior to the swap but if I can find a donor truck with a CR in it, what manual trans do I want the NV 5600 or the G56? I have thought about the Allison but it seems to be a lot of $$$ to build one.

The truck is the family vacation tow vehicle/hunting rig/play toy. Looking to make 650 to 700 hp turned up and still be able to turn it down for some semi-heavy towing.

Stick with the BTS and just get a torque converter for the Cummins engine.
