Putting a diesel in a 1987 Dodge D150?

Been throwing around the idea w/ the old man about putting some sort of diesel under the hood of our 1987 150 2WD.
Reason being this is our parts truck, has a 3.9 in it and it has over 180,XXX miles on it and needless to say the ole girl is getting tired.

We have TONS of used transmission/waste motor oil we need to get rid of so we want to set a system to run this stuff..

What engines do you guys recommend?

How about keeping the 3.9....you know, going with a 4bt! Thatd be pretty fun and efficient.
