looking for some info / opinions on ford swaps

I might be looking at doing a cummins swap on a ford in the future. It would be a 12v auto most likely, so I need to keep the year of the chassis low enough to keep from falling under emissions regs I probably cant keep up with.
Other concerns are what twin setups will fit in the engine bay with the ford cab?
I love the cummins and my built transmission, but Im no fan of the dodge chassis. Its junk from the frame to the sheet metal.

99+ superduty is a nice setup. Buddy has an 05 that handles like a caddy compared to my dodge.
Not sure what the regs are 99 and on. Id imagine Id have to register commercial here and just do the opacity / smog tests since I wont have OBD they can jack into
