Help with noise and cruise control
I'm looking for some help on two issues. Both are on my '68 F250 with a 2005 HPCR Cummins.
1. When in reverse, if you get the throttle above about 1,000 rpm - not much, a little more than idle, I'm getting a noise from the hood that sounds just like a really bad exhaust leak. But there is no exhaust leak. I'm beginnging to think it may be the torque converter or tranny - any thoughts?
2. I have cruise control rigged using the switch clusters that would have been in the steering wheel of the original truck. They are mounted on the dash and look pretty ugly. I want to replace them with a set of simple push buttons. Does anyone know how the connectors to these two switch clusters are wired? Is each wire just one switch? Are they closed to ground? Or is it more complicated than that.
Thanks
Peter
