6bt in a buick regal?
I was wondering if anyone knows of anyone that put one of these in a regal before. I have the car minus a engine. I just wondering if it could be done. It did have a Pontiac 400 in it.
Dressed Pontiac (not corporate) engine is a lot less than 700lbs. - remember they didn't make "big blocks"... 6BT is pretty close to 1200lbs. 4BT is probably close to a dressed BBC.

Here is another video...same Monte Carlo.........shows under the hood and some driving by etc. Interesting conversion no doubt.
I tried to embed it...but for some reason it wouldn't do it.

"Dry weight ranged from 590 lb (270 kg) to 650 lb (270 to 295 kg), depending on displacement and year."
I've slung enough Ponchos over the years into engine bays to say the 590 figure has to be for the late weak sister 301's. All the 389-455's made the engine hoist groan almost as bad as a BBC.......
Yes, 600# is closer to what I remember... and the classic Poncho V8s started at 326". The blocks' exterior dimensions were the same, so the big cube engines never felt as heavy as they should.
Have you guys seen the Buick Grand National with a Duramax in it?
