did you get your motor? One of out Dodges got rolled and will probably be totaled. Probably will not get a chance to buy it.but that 6.7 ran strong and has the Aisin transmission ( cab and chasis truck ). Might be difficult to wire power train and body, or might be easier than tumimg th touqe shift .Who knows?

I am having the HARDEST time getting this cummins out. It dosent seem to fully separate from the tranny. And yes, all the bolts are taken out. They are about 3 inches apart and won't budge after that. Any help?

Is the crossmember hitting the engine's oil pan and preventing it from moving forward any further?

Yes it is actually. I can't lift it any further because the clutch it pushing up against the bellhousing so now im wondering if I have to take that off too.

try unbolting the pressure plate it may stay in the bellhousing and give you the room you need. I have pulled out trannies but never just the motor, so I am not sure. Where you located? i might be interested in that trans if it is a 4x4

Not 100% sure, but I think the manual specifies removing the transmission from the vehicle prior to removing the engine, for that reason. Not sure if there's a quicker way to work around the problem.

Talking Cummins is out!!!

Hey guys sorry its been a while. Ive been so busy with school lateley, ive had to time to work on the project. Last night I just decided to pull it out no matter what it took. Lo and behold, it popped right out. With a little time and effort, it came out pretty easy.....Now comes the rebuild......

The pictures are too high quality for this site to upload so here is the link to my blog...

Wait a sec.. I thought you had been gone since 2011 and you had a Common rail in your Excursion.

Update

Just a quick update, i took out the transmission. Haha i literally broke it somehow today. I was shifting through the gears making sure they all worked, and it just like popped out of place and now it wont budge. But whatever, because i was told it was worthless anyways. So if anyone needs a non-working transmission, let me know. I Started the teardown of the cummins. I still need to get some bolts and put it on the stand. I hope to order a rebuild kit soon.
