if there was any avnti freeze it is prob just jelled, start the truck, put cardboard in front of rad,let it run till block heats up,stop let it sit for a 1/2 hr and do that a few times and it will thaw, anti freeze is CHEAP

No, unfortunately it is frozen ice and slush.....so now what? There was some antifreeze in it, but most was drained for the race track rules a few months ago and now it just dawned on me why it froze

If possible drag it inside where it can thaw and look for leaks.

Plug it it now. If you have a heater, tarp the engine compartment and get it warming up. You need to drain some of your water mix and add straight coolant until you can get it to the proper mixture. See if you can get some test strips to see how far off you are. If the block freezes, it may crack. You are also risking the heater core and radiator.

I got lucky with a mustang in the same boat; like he said- plug it in right away and when the block heats up, it will be apparent if you have troubles... I also second the starting it, letting it pump into the rad., waiting, and repeating. Good luck- spooky stuff here!

Unable to pull it inside of the garage, obviously......cause cranking it could ruin the water pump and whatever else. Plugged in the block heater, tarped the entire front of the truck back to the doors, got one space heater and a heat lamp warming the engine bay. We'll see in the morning how things are.......hoping upon hope and praying things are ok, and like you say.........scarey stuff indeed!!!!!

If it was just slush, you are likely OK.

Yeh, the radiator was slush, but both the upper and lower hoses were froze solid.....block temp is now at 55* and there is little to no ice in the radiator. No leaks to report, thank God!!!!!! Just wondering now if its safe to try and crank it up or let it sit awhile longer

Yeh, and thanks for all the good advice!!!!! Went to try and crank it and now with the cold weather it seems I have a couple bad batteries. Had them trickle charging for a couple days and voltage test out at 13.1v and 100% charge but will barely turn the engine over and lights dim down severely with the grid heater cycle.

Only thing about that is if the radiator is froze enough that the coolant isn't moving at all, then the engine will get too hot and spin a bearing or take out a rod way before you get any circulation in the block ..... been there and done that!
