http://www.blackclouddiesel.com/Videos/gsyorkville.AVI
September 17th.. I took 10th place. 260 some feet.
Did anyone from here make it out there to see me pull?

Cool video. Nice pull. I don't know anything about pulling but it sounded like you never really got the rpm's up. It sounded like you had really good traction and the truck was lugging a little. Have you pulled before? I'd ilke to try it, but
I'm not brave enough

I have pulled 13 times so far now. Usually good placings too.
I think the revs were around 3k.. I don't usually look at the dash but I think she was wound out plenty good
I run 4.10s with 33's.. put it in drive and lock out overdrive.. 4WD Low.
GO ahead and try it.. but you don't hook to the sled. IT HOOKS TO YOU!

Just wondering if it is common to get high EGTs when pulling. From what I can gather anything more then 1300 pre turbo for any length of time will do damage. Is this correct. Or for just a pull down the track it wont hurt ? I am considering pulling and want to find out what kind of temps are OK.

Thanks Bobcat, it must of just been the video didn't sound like it was really rippin. I guess I watched that "Worlds most powerful truck" Video a few to many times
When I drag race, my truck will see over 1500 degrees for the whole second half of the track, with the Quad box on 140mph. No problems yet.

Bobcat,
I'm sorry I did not get over to talk to you.I was busy dealing with some customers and thier No Limit Diesel Performance trucks. That placed 1st,2nd,and 3rd out of I think 12 or 13 trucks.
I saw your pull, looked decent, pretty tough competition down here ya think, wish our truck was running we usually pull it out the gate at this track.
Howling
I thought it was kind of funny when I heard that you TRIED to take some buisness away from us at our home track.

Competition is pretty stout. I didn't think I did too bad for the minor mods I have done.
I didn't come down to steal business, I came down to pull and have a good time
Did you see the big white cc sb dmax that pulled? We stayed with him in Joliet. I beat him by a few feet, though he started hopping badly at the end of the pull.

Yorkville is a hard hooking track & it takes some power to turn em hard.I used to pull there a couple of years ago & i sure do miss it.Also pulled in amboy, mendota, paw paw, freeport, milledgeville, etc.Anybody remember me Blue & silver quad cab 4x4 with stacks 24 valve.Had alot of fun until i put twins on my truck & couldnt run anywhere.Cool video though.P.S. Robs sled also pulls hard.
