mcummings; what are the Coopers Rated at?

I got the '99 to 93MPH last weekend and felt her defuel all three times. As for other vehicles I had our Arrow II up to 235 MPH with a tail wind. I saw 210 indicated once. If you mean cars had a Dodge K-car (the name escapes me) to 119 before the speed limiter killed the engine and I messed myself.

Well if we were talking other vehicles, I've been:
aprox. 135 in an '88 GMC S-15 with some engine work, estimated using the tach (5-speed, the speedo only went to 85, but I kept track of how many MPH it would increase for every 500 RPM).

145 in a '91 Plymouth Laser Turbo
145 in a Volvo 850 sedan
clocked on radar at 136 up hill on a Suzuki GS700ES
119 (by GPS) on a Yamaha RX-1 snowmobile
155 on an '87 Honda Hurricane 1000, with 1 more gear to go (but I didn't have the testicular fortitude at the time)
140 on an old Kawasaki KZ1300 6-cylinder bike

111 in my ETC 01, and 111 in my ETH 02.

01 had twins, blue chip, ez and 100 HP extrude hones.

It will do 111 mph in a little over 13 sec. 60 psi all the way to 111 then it hits a wall, boost drops to 20 or so.

How are you guys seeing over 115? Both my trucks are equipped with stock 265/75 17 Michelins, and 3.55 gears.

Both speeds are GPS verified.

Same speed the Michelins are LOL !

The Coopers were fairly new,. and you should have seen the managers face when I told them the two tires I had just bought had blown out on me. At first then concerned,, but then he figured out, I was crazy. LOL

You have to clip the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) wire. It's a white wire with an orange stripe and I believe it's pin #27. Look through the two main connectors over the fuel filter and you'll find it. Once you clip it you can solder leads to either side and run it to a toggle switch inside the truck. When toggled on it won't mess up the abs, cruise, or tranny controller (if you have one). Once at speed just flip the switch and it'll keep on pulling until you hit the engine governer. My 01 also had the same combo (auto, 265/75, 355s) and would turn ~130-135 based on RPMs (3500 indicated in 4th).

top speed

In the CTD, about 95 MPH racing another CTD but newer. Was playing games with the other truck next thing I realize we were 95ish. It had a lot more. As for other means of transportation, I hit 180 MPH on a 1989 GSXR 1100.

Don't have my truck yet, but 180 on the speedo of a honda superhawk 1000 was interesting. Best guess was it was really like 170, but at that speed it don't matter!

Can't wait for my new rig!!!!!!!

I've had the cummins up to about 112 on I-5 just north of Vancouver WA.
Once had my brother's '78 Aspen up to 170 MPH plus: 2.72 rear with 450 horse.

120 MPH for my 2002, about 125 MPH with my 1996. The 96' has 285's and the 02' has 265's. However,...... I did see 155 MPH with my son in his 2000 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am (Ram Air) 6 speed on I-40 East while racing a Corvette!! Does that count since we are talking about diesel trucks??
