Sled Pulling w/TQ Convertor Lock Switch?

Does anyone use a TQ Convertor lockup switch while sled pulling? If so when would you engage/disengage it?

I have used the switch, 4lo OD locked out, when it shifts to 3rd I lock it up when I see the RPM's start to drop I unlock it.

the last pulls I did with a lot more power and very tough compition it would drop 1000 RPM before I could unlock it. I stated leaving it unlocked and letting it shift like it wanted to, that seemed to work pretty good too.

I have 3:55's, and 2nd gear is good for the power i have, so when i get into 2nd, I lock it, and dont unlock it till im completely stopped, and spinning.
