Nobody that I talked to knew who the guy in the green CTD was. I dont remember seeing one last year, must be somebody who was building up their truck over the winter for a debut pulling this year.
Mark, let us know if you're going or not

I know its kinda late but I dynoed till midnight and have had no good results,we suspect an injector problem and swaped them out but my power is around 350HP and that aint gona cut it. Best of luck to all the dodges tonight and hope I get it fixed before next time.
It was a good pull, but honestly, I do not remember who won the stock diesel class. The green dodge was there again, and it appears that he has some big injectors on the truck, cause it was hazing at idle, and blew healthy clouds of black smoke out when he got on it, all the way till the end.
Jemery, I dont believe you were there, were you? If so, I didnt recognize your truck, there was a black dodge there, but it appeared to have stock exhaust on it, and wasnt blowing out any smoke at all. It had NC plates, it says you're from VA, so I do not think it was you.
We need to get a group together to go to the nationals pull on June 30th at Newland to show those ford boys how its done.
I'll give a rundown on the trucks I remember pulling last night, its late now and the old lady is probably already asleep in bed

Sorry I missed it, our next pull there is June 22nd unless they change the way they did it the year before last, they wont let us pull at the national event.
just wondering was Don Vance there if so how did he do ( copper color F350 dully with single rear tires )?

He wasnt there at the pull, I reckon hes out at sea still(I think hes still in the Merchant Marines).
From what I understand, they said over the intercom at the pull before this one that they are going to allow stock trucks to pull after the nationals pull. They did this last year, but there was only one person there to pull, and it was a duramax. I guess everybody figured that they weren't going to allow stock trucks to pull. Mark, maybe you could call the owner and find out for us all. If they do, I think dodge ought to own the track that night.
I see they finally updated their site for rules and whatnot, but there is nothing on there I can find about diesels and nitrous, etc.
There was a white duracrappin there that didnt even make it to 100ft. There was a red CTD there with super small boggers on it that didnt do good at all, but I do believe it was dead stock, or it sounded like it. Supposidly a red ford regular cab long bed over there has twins on it(overheard somebody talk about it), but I dont believe so, it sounded like a stock turbo, it was NOT loud at all. He didnt do good the 2 times he pulled. My buddy's cousin brought a f-450 over there, and it did not do too good, I think it finally got to ~250ft on the 2nd pull, and it was 2500lbs overweight, but they still let him pull......
The tech inspectors did not open hoods this time at all, on any stock class

I have never had the tech or anyone else want to see under the hood of my truck, I wish we could have been there but maby next time.
If anyone likes antique tractors we are going to a pull at Chipoakes in Surry VA on the 10th and 11th of JUNE.
what trucks did good at the pull?

Too bad you couldn't make it Mark, we could have had a dodge 1-2-3. As it was jemery took 2nd to that green dodge again, and third was a duramax. Even the announcer sounded upset, said something about there not being a ford in the top three.
The red ford regular cab 350 was my buddies truck. He's got your basic bolt-ons, intake, exhaust, and SCT chip. Truck is very strong, we did a little racing down there to see how his truck ran with that new programmer. He slowly pulled away from me from about a 30mph roll. I was pretty impressed that I stayed so close to him, with the mods I've got(see sig). I did smell something burning when we got to the track, smelled like brakes, transmission maybe? Oh well I guess next week when I put on the twins that will probably put the final nail in the coffin of my ATS setup.

I knew this tranny wouldn't last, it went out before I ever found this site and was uninformed.
Anywho, I sent an email to the newland website asking if they planned on putting up a set of rules for the diesel class or were they gonna continue to rely on word-of-mouth standards. We'll see if they set anything up.

Some people are like that, just too important to answer.
Watching that older green dodge pull was pretty impressive, he must have some work into that thing. I mean he got by jemery by a few feet and he's got 500+hp. That's too bad he's so secretive about it too. I undstand he doesn't want some of those guys down there to know what he's got but it's not like this is a professional event with big money on the line. I guess I'm just curious.

When I was leaving there after nearly everybody had left Saturday night, there was a couple of people around the green dodge, asking him about it. Now, I had a group of people with me, and my gf, who all wanted to get to the vehicles so they could go home, so I couldnt stop and talk to the guy. I know for sure its got some big injectors, it was hazing at idle. Its a strong truck, thats for dern sure.
