They hauled it to save on fuel and to test out his new goose neck ball . Kind of like a kid with a toy, you just have to get it out and play with it.
The Dmax front ends seem to be hangin' in there pretty good from what I can tell, but tell 'em I said that or their heads will get all swolen up!!! The entire truck seems to work well for sled pulling and gets good traction throughout partially due to the front end design from what I can tell.
As for the 3rd place truck, well he wants to be like his hero "Super Mike" and tow a trailer with his sled pulling/drag racing truck. Next thing you know, he'll have himself a covered car hauler trailer with his name on the side.

The 4th place truck also towed a trailer more than 2/3 of the way from Michigan to Stanford. But his EGT gauge wasn't working right so he unloaded the tow truck and put the pulling truck on the trailer before hitting the big hills in KY. I choose not to tow the spare truck with my pulling truck anymore because it saves 30 minutes of setup time (often in 90 degree heat or late at night) going from towing mode to pulling mode and then back again.
