Need advise

I might pull my truck at an impromptu pull at the county fair. Just a bunch of stock trucks gettin together. My truck is a dually...is that a disadvantage?? I'll probaly be the only dually. Also mine is a 6-speed...what gear should I be in??? 4-hi or 4-low?? Any other advise??? This will be a one time only thing for me. Thanks

A one time only thing eh? Yeah.... I remember when I said that. That was before the ladder bars, weights and other things.

Anyway. Stock clutch, I wouldn't go over 3rd Low. Don't let it slip for long and have fun. White smoke = very bad things. Dually will give you an advantage IMHO. More surface on the ground and better distribution of weight to the ground. Either borrow a pulling hitch setup or buy a big clevis at your nearest farm store.

Most of it is homebrew. Ladders are 2" thick wall tubing with a top link off of a 3 point setup for the ends. Weight box was built out of some spare curb molding that was laying around and some 3/8" strap to hang it with.

shoot up to Springfield, MO follow I-44 to Lebanon, make a left on Highway 5, drive until you get to the northern edge of the Lake of the Ozarks and you're here.
