NADM-national association DIESEL motorsports?
NADM-National Association of DIESEL Motosports Event
Lots of fast running diesel trucks. Palmer and Dirtymax ran very well. Banks came out with thier go-cart sized vehicle and was very fast, but what the heck was it? the thing sounded like a NHRA ALCOHOL racer. how are they getting away with calling that vehicle a diesel. I understand its motor was originally built for diesel but thats not a diesel. I honestly believe that vehicle was at ther wrong event. It looked and sounded like one of the NHRA racers. Am I the only one that took notice to this?
Did you see any smoke? Its said that Banks uses a ton of nitrous to clear smoke out. I guess if your running more nitrous than diesel, it'll be alot different.
And did you have a question about NADM like your topic title says?

Thanks for the update on the NADM, Bakersfiled, California Event! Do you remember what the times were for the Stuckey and Dirtymax Trucks??
Also, I agree with you on the Banks Type-D S-10 Tube Chassis Drag Truck.
They aren't putting out any black smoke because they are shooting SO MUCH nitrous it can't black smoke!!
A buddy of mine said their best run was like 8.09 in the 1/4 mile. That is good, but they are above their times, or SLOWER than they ran out in Las Vegas at the SEMA show. ---------

I don't think he meant to put that question mark there. I corrected it for him.
stuckey racing ran 1/8 6.15@116. kind of dissapointing to not see that truck run the whole 1/4 mile. dirtymax ran a mid 9 second 1/4 pass. it got really confusing as a spectator as to what was going on. i mean there were trucks that must have made over a dozen passes and then a few trucks come out and run a 1/8.
at that point i was lost. the event seemed a bit disorganized.

there was a single cab dually 12V there that was smoking down the whole track who broke loose towards the finish line and still ran a low 11 second pass. that was impressive. looked to be nitrous free. there was also a mega cab dually running consistent 12's all day. what a smooth running rig from start to finish.

if so thats jeff prince
no, i want to say it was flat gray and green. it ran really good. he looked to be the fastest on #2 only but thats just my observation. there was also a brown 24V that was running really well. i believe he was running consistent 12's. couldnt tell if he was on #2 only or if he was spraying.
Hey guys, sorry for the absence around here. Been a bit crazy around my house.
The Crude Drags 2 event was without question one heck of a way for us to open our first season. Rain during the week, predicted rain, then no predicted rain, then rain Saturday morning which caused a 2 1/2 hour delay in getting started. Add to that over 100 trucks there to compete and "we was jumpin to keep things rolling".
The Wind storm just ended the day perfectly.
But we heard from a lot of people they had a good time, and that is what is important.
Stuckey and Banks actually set NADM Records.
Unlimited Street Record 1/8th mile by Stuckey Racing = 6.152 @ 116mph
Pro Stock Diesel Record 1/4 mile by Banks = 8.062 @ 166 mph.
The banks truck does sound like a Big Block. They did ask us if we had fuel (which we didn't) to give them for the truck to prove they run #2. They do run a lot of N2O. With the turbo's on each bank, maybe that explains the sound?
But it does belch out a little black when the throttle is first hit. But it's fast no doubt.
I think the mad rush is starting to end, and I'll be at a more normal crazy pace.

Thanks for the update Buddy!! I thought maybe you forgot about us over here on DTR!
Boy David,...... I heard ALOT of talk about the way that Banks Type-D Drag Truck "smelled" while it was spooling up out in California. Alot of the guys said they compared it to what a Top Fuel NHRA Dragster smells like! Sorry,....but I am still not convinced that truck isn't running some other "substance" in the fuel system, maybe not IN THE TANK, but downstream somewhere. Tim T. said he saw EIGHT (8) nitrous solenoids in the engine bay, so if that doesn't tell you how much NOS that truck has,......well,.....I don't know what to tell you!
As I have said before, I really want to see it run somewhere with JUST #2 diesel, NO NITROUS, and I would like that #2 diesel to be supplied by you guys at NADM. I doubt that will happen though.
Anyway, welcome back buddy!

Gale has asked me to supply his fuel at our Comp D Invitationals in May.
Good deal on the #2 diesel fuel David!! Now you guys will have to do a little NADM "Inspection" of his fuel system too!

I guess their Pro-Street Class was kind of thin with only the Stuckey Crew and the Dirtymax Truck??
