My pull from 7-18-07

Here is the video from last nights pull in Carlinville, Il. I am the second truck to pull (red w/ campershell) I placed third in it out of 12 trucks. Most of which where all pulled to the fair then pulled home. I am satisfied that I can drive there then drive home. I am sure that I will break one day I just hope its close to home.

Probably a rule for the pulling class, dual rear wheels would lend an advantage due to increased traction.

Nice vid.

Yeah the duals had to come off to make it fair to the 3/4 ton's. It doesn't seem to matter in that class though most guys that have them don't have the horsepower to use them.

What I've always been told is that dual rear wheels are a disadvantage when pulling. In reality, you get half the traction because you have the weight distributed among 4 wheels instead of two in the rear.

This is the same reason why a dually is inferior to a SWR truck in the snow.

6 muds tires on a dually seems to be working around here at the pulls. I have heard a dually does horrible in the snow.

Good hook man. Those 3rd gens are hard to handle on the pullin track. If u have billet shafts a lockup switch would really benefit you IMO

Please tell me that the white crew cab dmax that pulled did not have his exhaust exiting through a hole in the bed before the back tire

The white dmax blew his turbo at the end that was the white smoke he was not running water. The last dmax the black one is one that usually bets me we always pull against each other it seems. He broke something in the rearend whether axle shaft or pinion/ring gear. He still had good driveshaft and u-joint when he trailered it home. I on the other hand now have a check list of things to go thru when I pull since I always forget to do one thing or the other. I am going to pull again tonight see how I do in the 8000 and 9000lb classes wish I could get down to 6500 and do that class to.

In the last class it was one of the pro stock trucks I try to learn from them it is probally not the one you are thinking of but there was one there. Its truck name was black widow It is owned by the Heyen family.
