The rules meeting is Oct. 28 at Russelville Middle School Cafeteria at 1 pm. I submitted DHRA street diesel rules because rule/class changes have to be submitted 45 days before the rules meeting, but will be able to make changes at rules meeting. Any ideas/changes to DHRA street diesel rules? I would like to be able to use water injection.

I think water would be a great thing to add to our class just for cooling only.. Water only also should be poured in by the scale guy or other track personal...Also i think Street Diesel DHRA 4500 RPM limit should be used and enforced meaning mandatory tach pick up at the rear of the truck this is the only way to keep people honest... Stock Appearing pumps no ag pumps no hand throttles ,, Full Interior, and dash, along with insurace and Registration this shouldnt be a problem because this is a street class...Plus if we keep it fair the turnouts will be much better!! DHRA has it nailed i just think we should enforce the rules we set!! Let me know how this sounds...

The main thing here is to make it fair for everyone the big problem is some build a truck that isnt legal and expects everyone to overlook it.. Thats why this will be aweome to have a class for Diesel trucks we can have a Tech team that knows what to look for and keep a level playing field.. That alone will solve big matches at pulls... What the tech team decides is final..

I think an improvement to the DHRA street rules would be to allow full block suspension if desired as long as the blocks are easily removed (ie bolt in or adjustable)

+1 for water injection, I would like to keep things cool.
I'm impartial to blocking and agree with others on just establishing the rules and tech inspections. If we can get them enforced and everyone on the same page I think the class would be very competitive and you'd see more people interested in pulling.

My vote is for DHRA rules
Sticking with the DHRA rules will save a lot of controversy later, ie: answering why can't we change this rule or why do I have to do that? Also how easy is it going to be to tune your truck with water injection and blocked suspension, then go to DHRA pulls and know how to retune/drive/compete? If you allow water then the system needs to be empty at each pull and the tech guys fill the tank as you cross the scale............ Water offers some cooling, increases compression etc., we know alcohol adds to the cooling but also the fuel but cheaters slip nitro in.....................big boost. I don't think it worth the hassle but then what do I know
