Lone Star Diesel Shootout Dyno Challenge

Hamilton Diesel is hosting a all diesel dyno day @ART in Buda texas near Austin. This is not just any dyno day. Only 40 trucks are allowed, and you have to qualify to be on the rollers. 800hp proven by dyno sheet is required to be considered. Ok now for the incentive, a $5,000 purse goes to the big dog of the day, and the sponsors will be kicking in thousands of dollars in prizes also. We know for sure there will be one magazine for sure and workin on another one. the date is set for Nov.17,18. some of the rules are street legal, insured, and roadworthy. competors will drive(convoy) their trucks 60 miles round trip to prove roadworty, also we believe this levels the playing field. To sigh up E-mail your truck specs to www.lonestardieselshootout@yahoo.com also no limit on power adders.
Ever wonder who had the most power, well this is it guys let's make it the baddest dyno day ever...Were callin out all these bad a-- trucks

Ht is your charcoal truck legal for that Dyno pull? Legal and all for the street? Is this facility close to the cabela's or the same place they had the last one in diesel power mag?

$5K purse?

I'm glad none of us have anything that will qualify - entry fee is probably insane...

Sounds like a good road trip though!

Which magazine for sure, Buck?

Here's the thing, I think the entry is only like $250, but if there is enough interest I say $500 or $1000 and bump the purse up to $8500 or $1000. This will bring everbody out, imagine 10k and braggin rights. diesel world is comin with the PHD truck, thats the word....other than the hood stack my thuck is legal, will go to a regular exhaust, sure going to miss those flames that come out...

There is no way that your going to get that many high HP trucks at one place, I don't care if your asking all around the US. Some of the high HP guys don't want other people to know exactly what they are putting down, I think.

Still, I would like to show up and see who shows up

Just my opinion

I suggest making it 650hp and higher. I agree with WU, wont be many 800hp+ trucks there IMO. Unless people use there sled pullers.

That's what I'm thinking, Will - 800+ at a Dyno Day is a bit rare... but I guess that's the point.

With this much lead time and a serious purse, along with the rags' bragging rights - it could draw from outside the region if it's publicized.

so far there are three signed up

1) Brian from Dominator Performance Diesel (DPD)
2) Nick Almaguer Dominator diesel (TEXAS)
3) Buck (TEXAS)

Nick is bringing his pullin truck, A tricked out 05 reg. cab, with lots of goodies, I think he's running a "750" double pumper holly on that thing!!!
