Jimmy Smith hits the 9's at IRP in Pro-Street!
My SINCERE CONGRATULATIONS go out to my good friends Jimmy and Dale Smith who finally hit the "elusive" 9 second club this weekend at the DHRA ("Thunder In Indy") Diesel Event this weekend!! Jimmy ran a 9.97 @ 139 MPH with his maroon Dodge CTD "Pro-Street" Drag Truck and did this on just #2 diesel!! They also won the "Pro-Street Quick 4" Event!
Anyone who knows these two fine people know how HARD they have worked to get this truck to where it is. I am proud to call them my friends and also to have had the pleasure of helping out on their "pit crew" over the last year or so!

Great job! I was wondering all weekend if they had hit the 9's. Thanks for posting the results, John. I know Jimmy and Dale must have been very happy. I wish I could have been there to see it in person.

Congrats Jimmy! Thats awesome. Wish I was there to see it. You must have gotten that chrome piece of 6 inch pipe I gave ya on your intake. Im sure that made the difference.
