Jefferson City Mo Pull
Thanks for comments Roger, it just seems if you come from out of town with a truck that had a lot of time and effort put into it you don't have a chance. This truck was pretty much put together from ideas from trucks like *** used to run in this same class with the same hitch. The water intercooler has a rv water pump that will make about 15 to 20 lbs max. I know some don't believe but the motor turned 4200 coming out and settled in around 3800. They have the graft to prove and offered to show someone at the pull that night and they declined to look at it. I'm pretty much done with this thread as this is just a friends truck and I might be out of line talking to much about it. Thanks,Gary
I didn't and don't mean to discourage anyone, hence my mentioning the rules to protect the sport. We need as many diesels as possible too show the gas pullers that we are committed and can draw a crowd. I didn't go to Eldon on Saturday but heard that the crowd was so small that they likely lost money........ A tractor puller from Calif. MO went to Eldon and told me that your buddies truck (IHO) turned the highest rpm but he doubted that it was 4500rpm on the line and in the mid to upper 3's down the track. Sounds like he guessed right. He (just today) bought a '98 12V truck for his son to pull next year. Good luck your with buddies truck, I wanted to see it pull at Jeff City but he rushed it off the line.......I'm guessing differential (spider?) gears went?
My point in my earlier post noted that a 12V truck could be easily modify for the Street Stock or the Pro Street. Here in MO the Pro Stock class is limited to brush pulls.......lc
