Guess my 1/4 times

Im headed to the strip Friday weather permitting. My best is a 15.02 with stock turbo, and 181 DV's. I now have a carter pusher pump, 191 DV's, and a 58mm HX40 turbo. Im hoping to run really low 14's. Guesses?

I'm headed to the track Friday too. Who do you think will improve their best time more, you or me? My first run and best run netted 15.57 at 89mph. Clutch was slipping, I now have a new clutch that doesn't slip, it's still a single disc so not fancy boosted launches or anything. My goal is 14.99 or less.

I'd think you have to be making more HP now with the bigger turbo and DV's. Are those New Era 370's going into your truck or your dad's? I'd guess 14.6 if you added 50 HP.

I also forgot to add, I have a billet input now. Should be able to cut 2 tenths off my 60ft im hoping. I ran a 2.0 at 10psi on the stock input. I think it'll do a 1.8 with the billet one at 18psi.

When i dyno'd, I had the DV's in, just not the turbo. I ran the 15.02 with id say around 300hp at the wheels. I think a 14.4 is well within reach with a good launch and the extra power i have. It runs quite a bit better than it did. Only one way to find out for sure, and i hope to do that Friday.

I was gonna go this last Friday, but it rained us out.

It had a 14 second run in it with the 181's I think. The day i ran though, it was 90*+ outside and humid. It'll be about 40* cooler this weekend, so that should help some too.

Usually it's the output shaft that breaks on a boosted launch.

The 47rh has a pretty stout output shaft. Brad Ponci is running a truck dead on mine and cutting 1.6 60ft times with a stock output shaft. And running 11.3's i believe.

With your mods right now, I'm pretty you'll hit 14.4 or quicker with a decent launch. I think your trap speed will be around 95 +/- mph. Also, do you have a Billet Intermediate?

No billet intermediate, but from everything i have read they arent needed unless you really have some power. Im figuring my trap speed to be 90-93mph, but i guess ill find out. Im running stock 215 injectors in it from a 96 truck, so i dont have too much fuel.

Did you notice much of a gain installing the 215 injectors?

I dropped 1/2 second off my 1/4 times switching from my 160 injectors to the 215's, and EGT's stayed the same.

Brad broke his over the summer and I believe he replaced it with a billet one!

Yes, but i think he said he was getting a little greedy with the launch. IF i ever get mine as fast as his, ill worry a little more about the output.

you should run mid 14's at least if not even a 14.00 im hoping to run a 13.50's with my truck how it sits now. but i have Ii dragon flows, 0 plate 4kgsk full sunocoast tranny, minus the intermediate shaft, lock up switch, and and 15.5 degrees timing and i already beat my brother truck in my sig with a blown intercooler and not launching but taking off in 4wd.

I bet that thing is smokey with dragon flows on the stock turbo!

I never made it to the strip. They all cancelled the last 2 weeks because of the cold weather. Im gonna try and go when they open back up.

I know that you can get away with alot on a stock intermediate, just cheap insurance incase you ever decide to go all wild. I didn't realize that you had 215 injectors, I was under the impression that you had New Era 370's. But still those are good dyno numbers on just 215 injectors and 191 dvs on a 160 pump.
