hey guys goin to pull my truck on friday night and wondern wut gear to pull in there will be no weight class just gas and diesel class iam goin to put 1000lbs in my tool box and i belive max hitch height is 20". my truck has 3:55 and i have 285/70/17 nitto terra crapplers iam not sure to go in 4th Lo or 3rd Lo.it will be a trasfer sled.

 

with 3.55 gears and a 6 spd with 33 in tires your wheel speed @ 3,000 rpms will be 22 mph in 4th gear and 4 lo 30.5 mph in 5th gear and 4 lo id go 4th gear and 4 lo if they allow hanging weight put it on your front end not in the tool box

 

u cant have any kind of hanging weight. do u think i will have a enough engine if the tires hook good? i was going to run 40psi in front and 50psi in the rear i was also thinking of putting blocks in the back.

 

what do you have for a clutch?

 

the clutch was in the truck when i bought it the guy told me it was a cevlar stage 2 he couldnt rember wut brand. ive only slipped it once tryin to burn out in 3rd gear but it hasent sliped sence and ive had a smarty in it for a while and tow 10,000lbs some times.this is the only thing iam worried about is slipping it.

 

is ia a dual disk? if not you ren a very high rish of destroying it sled puiilng.

 

cevlar? Never heard of it!
